Met office predicts rain across country

Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) predicted that light to moderate rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty or squally wind may occur across the country in next 24 hours.

A met office bulletin signed by meteorologist Khandker Hafizur Rahman has been issued on Sunday (July 3).

“Light to moderate rain or thundershower with temporary gusty or squally wind is likely to occur at many places over Rangpur, Khulna, Barishal and Chattogram divisions and at a few places over Dhaka, Mymensingh, Rajshahi and Sylhet divisions with moderately heavy to heavy falls at some places over Rangpur, Khulna, Barishal and Chattogram divisions,” he said in the bulletin.

Monsoon is fairly active over Bangladesh and moderate elsewhere over North Bay, he added.

However, the day and night temperature may remain nearly unchanged over the country.
