PM gives directives to be strict to ensure mask use

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has given directives to be strict more to ensure mask use.

She made the directives in the cabinet meeting held on Sunday (July 3).

Cabinet Division Secretary Khandker Anwarul Islam told this to the reporters after the meeting at the Secretariat.

The cabinet meeting with Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina in chair was held virtually.

PM joined the cabinet meeting from her official Gonobhabon residence while other ministers from the conference room of the cabinet division at the secretariat.

Cabinet Secretary said, “Nobody can make movement without wearing mask. Laws would be applied to ensure this, if necessary.”

He said, “Nowadays we have a kind of reluctance about masks. Many think, coronavirus can cause no harm now. But those have low immunity are being infected with the virus. So, everybody should remain alert.
