Huge crowd at Kamalapur Railway Station

Ignoring health guidelines amid a surge of coronavirus (Covid-19), a large number of people gathered at Kamalapur Railway Station in the capital for the fifth consecutive day on Tuesday to buy advance train tickets to celebrate the Eid-ul-Azha with near and dear ones.

Visiting the spot, it was found that many people from different parts of the capital Dhaka started gathering at the railway station from last night or early hours and many of them stood in the queue after Fajr prayer.

The lines of ticket seekers became long.

Many people standing in the queue at Kamalapur complained about difficulties in getting tickets, causing huge suffering to them.

Bangladesh Railway started selling advance train tickets for July 5 physically at six places in Dhaka July 1 (Friday).

The advance tickets for July 9 are being sold today (July 5).

On the other hand, the sale of return tickets will begin on July 7. The return tickets for July 11, 12, 13, 14 and 15 will be available on July 7, 8, 9, 10 and 11, respectively.
