Man dies after setting himself on fire: Henolux owner sued

A case has been filed against Henolux Group Chairman Dr Nurul Amin and his wife Fatema Amin over the death of businessman who set fire on his body in the capital.
Nazrul Islam, elder brother of deceased Gazi Anis, filed the case with Shahbag Police Station on Tuesday (July 5) noon.
Moudud Hawlader, Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Shahbag Police Station, confirmed the matter to risingbd.
He said, “The case has been recorded. Legal steps would be taken against the accused after investigation.”
According to the case statement, Gazi Anis used to supply products to the company. He chose the path of suicide by setting fire on his body in front of the National Press Club in the capital on July 4 as he failed to receive the money after many efforts.
Mentionable, the fifty-year-old Gazi Anis, who sustained nearly 80 percent of his body burnt in the fire, was being undergone treatment at Sheikh Hasina National Burn and Plastic Surgery Institute. He succumbed on Tuesday morning.
