Businessman hacked to death in Dhaka`s Uttara

A businessman was hacked to death allegedly by a mugger besides Sonargaon Janapad intersection in Uttara on Thursday night (August 11).

The deceased was known as Sharif Ullah, 44.

Uttara West Police Station Officer-in-Charge Md Mahsin told risingbd that a mugger stabbed Sharif while he was withdrawing money from an ATM booth in the area, leaving him critically injured.

The injured was shifted to hospital where he succumbed to the stab injuries.

Meanwhile, locals rushed to the spot and caught the mugger red-handed and informed police.
