Chowdhury Al Mamun new IGP, M Kurshed Hossain RAB DG

The government appointed RAB’s DG Chowdhury Abdullah Al Mamun as the new Inspector General of Police and Additional IGP M Khurshed Hossain as new Director General (DG) of Rapid Action Battalion.

The Home Ministry issued two separate gazette notifications in this regard on Thursday (September 22).

According to the notifications, the new appointments would be effective from September 30.

Chowdhury Abdullah Al Mamun, an official of eighth BCS batch was promoted to grade-1 on October 18, last year. He is scheduled to go retirement on January 11, next year. He joined Bangladesh Police as an assistant superintendent of police in 1989.

Besides, Additional IG M Khurshid Hossain entered the civil service through the 12th BCS batch.
