Banaj Kumar files case against Babul Akter, 3 others

The Police Bureau of Investigation chief Banaj Kumar Majumder has filed a case against former superintendent of police Babul Akter and three other people under Digital Security Act.

PBI Dhaka Metro (North) superintendent of police (SP) Md Jahangir Alam lodged the case on behalf of the PBI Chief on Tuesday (September 27).

Additional Police Super Abu Yusuf told risingbd that Elias Hossain, former SP Babul Akter, his father Abdul Wadud and brothers Habibur Rahman Labu were made accused in the case.

Sources said, Dhanmondi police station OC (investigation) Rabiul Islam was assigned to investigate the case.

Earlier, former Chittagong Superintendent of Police (SP) Babul Akter lodged the complaint before a court against six officials of Police Bureau of Investigations (PBI) including PBI Chief Banaj Kumar Majumder for torturing and attempting to kill him in police custody.
