Power supply restored after 4 hours

Power has returned to parts of Dhaka including Mirpur, Uttara, Gulshan, Baridhara, Shamoly and Mohammadpur after national grid collapse led to an outage.

The power supply is being normal gradually in other areas too, DESCO sources said on Tuesday (4 October).

Dhaka Electric Supply Company Ltd (DESCO) Managing Director (MD) Md Kausar Ameer Ali said electricity supply was started after 6pm. DESCO users are getting 108 MW electricity now.

Besides, Dhaka Power Distribution Company (DPDC) Managing Director Eng Bikash Dewan said, the power supply in Narayanganj and Old Dhaka areas are being normal gradually.
