Bangladesh urges South Africa to send back 2 fugitives

State Minister Shahriar Alam urged the South African side to send back two fugitives of 21 August grenade attack case.

The minister made the call while addressing a meeting at the state guest house in Padma on Tuesday (November 22).

He said, we have come to know that two suspects of the August 21 grenade attack are staying in South Africa. We are sure of the location of one of them. There was a discussion about how to bring them back.

Meanwhile, the state minister thanked South African Deputy Minister for their support extended to Bangladeshi citizens living in South Africa. He underscored the need for introduction of direct air connectivity and regular official contacts.
