Dengue claims 3 more lives; Death toll now 254

At least three dengue patients died, while 426 were admitted to different hospitals across the country in the last 24 hours till Wednesday morning (November 30).

The total number of fatalities and cases have now risen to 254 and 57,358, respectively.

"As many as 239 dengue patients were hospitalized in Dhaka city and 187 patients were admitted to hospitals outside Dhaka during the past 24 hours," a press release of the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) said.

The first death from dengue was reported on June 21, this year. The World Health Organization (WHO) classifies dengue as one of the top 10 threats to public health.
