Police begin 15-day nationwide ‘special drive’

The Police Headquarters have directed the field-level officials to carry out a 15-day ‘special drive’ across the country from December 1.

The police headquarters issued an instruction in this regard on Thursday (December 1).

Assistant Inspector General (AIG) Manzoor Rahman of the Media and Public Relations Department of Police Headquarters, said this is not a special operation actually. It is routine police work. The directive has been issued to avoid any untoward incident ahead of important events in December.

However, instructions have also been given that no one should be harassed during the operation, he added.
