US minister arrives in Dhaka tomorrow to discuss Rohingya issue

US Assistant Secretary for the Bureau of Population, Refugees, and Migration Julieta Valls Noyes will arrive in Dhaka tomorrow (Sunday) to discuss the Rohingya issue.

She will travel to Bangladesh on December 4-7. 

Noyes will meet with non-governmental and international organisation partners to highlight the U.S. commitment to supporting the Rohingya refugee response and impacted host communities.

She is expected to meet Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and Foreign Minister AK Abdul Momen.

She will visit Cox’s Bazar Rohingya camps and Bhasanchar in Noakhali.

The US Assistant Secretary will also travel to Thailand on December 7-10, 2022.
