AL will keep streets occupied, says Quader

Awami League General Secretary and Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader has said that If there is an attack, time will tell whether there will be a counter-attack or not. We do not know how long BNP leaders and workers will stay on the streets, but the streets will be occupied by us. Because we did not fall from the sky, we came from among people of the country.

He said this while addressing as the chief guest at the tri-annual conference of Mymensingh district and metropolitan Awami League at the historical circuit ground of Mymensingh on Saturday (December 3) afternoon.

Addressing to BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir, Obaidul Quader said, “Mr Fakrul, games will be played, it must be played against Hawa Bhaban, against corruption, against looting. The game will be played in December.”

He also said, “In Bangladesh politics, the source of money is being sought for the mystery man Kamal Hossain and Tarique Rahman.”

Before this, the formalities of the conference started with the performance of the national anthem at around 12:00 pm. Later, Awami League Central Committee General Secretary Obaidul Quader inaugurated the conference by flying pigeons and balloons.

In the first session of the conference, after the welcome speech of Mymensingh Metropolitan Awami League President Ehteshamul Alam, Obaidul Quader spoke as the chief guest.
