One more die of dengue, 269 hospitalised in 24hrs

At least one dengue patient died in the past 24 hours till Tuesday morning across the country, taking the official death toll to 258 since January this year.

A press release of the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) confirmed this.

A total of 269 dengue patients were hospitalised officially in the past 24 hours ending at 8:00am on Tuesday across the country, of which 134 were reported in Dhaka city and 135 in other places outside the capital.

The mosquito-borne viral disease killed 258 people and forced 59,196 to get admitted to hospitals since January. Of them, 57,711 patients made recovery from the disease.

In 2021, at least 28,429 dengue patients and 105 deaths were recorded officially.
