HC for allocating stall to Adarsha Prakashani

The High Court (HC) has issued an order to allocate Adarsha Prakashani a stall at the Amar Ekushey Boi Mela 2023.

However, the court ordered the prakashani not to sell the three books objection raised by the Bangla Academy.

The High Court bench comprising of Justice Md Khasruzzaman and Justice Md Iqbal Kabir on Tuesday (February 8) handed down the order after hearing the writ petition filed in this regard.

Md Mahabubur Rahman, Publisher of Adarsha Prakashani, filed the writ petition on February 2.

The three books for which objections raised by the Bangla Academy are: Bangalir Mediocrityr Sondhane, written by Faham Abdus Salam, son-in-law of BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir.

The two other books are– Unnoyon Bivrom by Zia Hassan and Oprotirodhyo Unnoyoner Ovabniyo by Faiz Ahmad Taiyeb.
