Student killing at Rampura: Bus helper held

Members of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) have arrested the helper of the bus of Anabil Paribahan that ran over Md Mainuddin Islam, a candidate of the ongoing secondary school certificate (SSC) exams on Monday (November 29) night.

The arrestee is Chand Mia.

This was confirmed from RAB Headquarters on Tuesday (November 30) morning.

Confirming the matter to risingbd, ANM Imran Khan, Senior Assistant Director, Legal and Media Wing, RAB Headquarters said, “The bus helper was arrested from the capital’s Sayedabad area. Details in this regard will be briefed later.”

Earlier, the agitated mob set fire to several buses at Rampura in the capital after a bus of Anabil Paribahan ran over Mainuddin, a student of Rampura Ekramunnessa High School, around 10:45pm when he was crossing the Rampura DIT Road.
