Kushtia boy receives ‘lifetime scholarship’ from Bashundhara Food

A 10-year old boy of Kushtia has won lifetime scholarship from Bashundhara Food showing his expressions with immense love to a brand of the company.

The story began from a sales conference of Bashundhara Food and Beverage Industries Limited (BFBIL). A communication banner of the wheat brand caught attraction of Bashundhara Group Vice Chairman Shafiat Sobhan.

Shafiat Sobhan handed over a token certificate to Arin Sharma, a fifth grader student, at a function at Bashundhara Industrial Headquarters-2 in the capital on Monday (April 18).

The photo portrays a young boy embracing a packet of Bashundhara Atta with great love. Bashundhara Group vice chairman directed the team to support the boy in education and employment.

Shafiat Sobhan pledged to support Arin Sharma at all grades of his education until employment. He directed the officials to continue such initiative to support a kid for every year with lifetime scholarship, a unique initiative from Bashundhara Food.

In reaction, Shafiat Sobhan said lifetime scholarship is a continuous process and it will continue to support thousands of kids like Arin Sharma to fulfill their dreams.

Bashundhara Food and Beverage General Manager Redhwanur Rahman described the story at the programme.

“Arin bought a pack of Bashundhara Atta and some foods from a shop once on returning home from school. He embraced the packet on his lap with immense love. A sales representative of Bashundhara Food took a photo in own curiosity and sent it to head of sales. The photo was used in a communication banner of on-going sales conference then that attracted Bashundhara Group Vice Chairman Shafiat Sobhan,” Redhwanur said.

The official claimed the enchanted smiles of Arin who embraced the 2 kilograms pack of Bashundhara Ata had attracted all along with Shafiat Sobhan.
Arin Sharma is living in Jhaudia village of Kushtia district. He is a fourth grade student of Jhaudia Bazar Primary School. His father is a goldsmith. They maintain a 4-member family.

Akil Sharma, father of Arin, expressed his gratitude to Bashundhara Group for taking responsibility of education and employments of his son.
“We are grateful for fulfilling the dream. I hope, my son will contribute for well-being of people trough noble profession in future,” he said.

BFBIL chief human resource officer captain Shaikh Ehsan Reza, supply chain's chief operating officer Abdus Shukur, brand and marketing’s COO MM Jasim Uddin, coordinator to vice chairman Abdur Rahman and head of accounts Belal Hossain were also present on the occasion.

BFBIL produces flour, finest flour, semolina and wheat made products under the brand names of Bashundhara.
