“Those who do not follow the 6-point do not believe in independence”

Awami League General Secretary Obaidul Quader said that those who do not celebrate the historic Six Point Day do not believe in Bangladesh’s independence.

The AL leader said this while addressing reporters after paying his respects to Bangabandhu’s portrait on Friday (June 7).

He said the six-point movement is a milestone of the liberation movement. Students started the Eleven-point movement based on six points.

General Secretary of Awami League said it is a matter of doubt whether there would have been a mass uprising of 69 if there were no six points. The six-point movement changed the course of our history. After 1975, the observance of these days like 7th June and 7th March was banned. Those who ban are involved in the 1975 murders. They don’t believe in the independence of the country.
