‘Govt is in harsh position against Covid-19 scammers’

Awami League General Secretary Obaidul Quader said that the government is in a harsh position against those who are peddling fake coronavirus cures and testing, plasma donating and other wrongdoings.

Obaidul Quader came up with the assertion while addressing a press conference at his official residence in the capital on Wednesday (July 8).

He said, a vested quarter is doing cheat with people during this coronavirus crisis. The government took hard position against these kind of cheats and irregularities.

Obaidul Quader said, some people are moving everywhere hiding their information regarding infections, while some others are going abroad with COVID-19 negative certificates and being identified as positive at airports.

Urging people to stay alert during Eid, he said, “All should avoid gatherings for the sake of their own safety and their families. Safety zones have to be created at all places, including cattle markets, bus and launch terminals, train stations, ferry ghats, shopping malls, kitchen markets and other spots.”
