‘Country on its way back to normal without coronavirus vaccine’

Health and Family Welfare Minister Zahid Maleque said, Coronavirus virus is going to leave our country. The death rate is few in the context of infections in Bangladesh. It can be said, the country on its way back to normal without coronavirus vaccine.

The minister said this while addressing a program on the occasion of National Mourning Day at Bangladesh College of Physicians and Surgeons (BCSPS) auditorium in the capital on Saturday (August 15).

He said, “The whole world was in a dilemma facing coronavirus pandemic. Meanwhile, the daughter of Bangabandhu Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina provided us her wise decisions step by step. On behalf of health sector, we have worked according to her directions. Our doctors, nurses, technologists have worked relentless maintaining our directions.”

"We are happy that the death rate and the Covid-19 infection rate have come down in the country," the minister added.
