CEC claims Dhaka-5, Naogaon-6 by polls free, fair

Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) KM Nurul Huda claimed that the by-polls of the vacant seats in Dhaka-5 and Naogaon-6 have ended with free and fair.

The CEC said this while addressing reporters at Agargaon in the capital on Saturday (October 17).

Nurul Huda said, the voter turnout was low due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Earlier, voting in by-elections to two parliamentary constituencies – Dhaka-5 and Naogaon-6 started through using Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs). The by-elections began at 9:00am which continued till 5:00pm.
