Awami League (AL) General Secretary Obaidul Quader has said that the government has made all preparations so that people of Bangladesh can easily get vaccines just after launching in international market.
He said, “An integrated effort has been made publicly and privately to make vaccine accessible to people in a timely manner.”
The Road Transport and Bridges Minister said this while speaking at a programme held at the AL president’s political office in the capital’s Dhanmondi on Friday (November 27).
He attended the programme through video conference from his official residence.
Obaidul Quader also asked leaders and activists of Awami League and various allied organisations to launch awareness campaigns among people, noting that it is difficult to say coronavirus situation moves on which ways, but the government has taken appropriate steps.
He said, “Despite the global epidemic, the country’s largest ever foreign currency reserve has reached 41 billion dollars under the efficient leadership of Prime Minister. The situation would have been easier to deal with and the loss of life and property of people would have seen less loss if an evil group had not capitalised on this humanitarian crisis of the global epidemic. The people must be vigilant against this evil force and build strong resistance against it.”
“The government has kept continuing to implement a zero-tolerance policy against corruption,” he added.
