‘Those behind Al Jazeera propaganda to be traced out’

Awami League General Secretary, also Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader has said that those behind the misleading propaganda of Al Jazeera at home and abroad are being traced.

He said, “There were propaganda and rumors against Sheikh Hasina before, which were later proved to be false. Al Jazeera’s bizarre report will also be proved false.”

He made the remarks at a briefing at his official residence in the Parliament House area of the capital on Friday (February 12).

Obaidul Quader alleged that the politically interested quarters at home and abroad were involved in a deep conspiracy to break the unity between the government and the Awami League. The roots of this group are in very deep.

He also said that the Awami League under the leadership of Sheikh Hasina is firmly united and any conspiracy to break the unity will not work.

Regarding the attack on the mayor’s car of Basurhat municipality on February 11, the Awami League general secretary said, “We have already discussed the matter with the Chittagong Range DIG, CMP commissioner and Feni police superintendent.”

Obaidul Quader directed the concerned law enforcement agencies to take action against those involved by disclosing proper information through investigation.
