Law Ministry recommends extension of Khaleda’s release

The law ministry has recommended another six months' extension on the government order that released Khaleda Zia from jail.

 The law ministry has already sent the documents in this regard to the ministry of home affairs.

Public Relations Officer of law ministry Md. Rezaul Karim said this on Monday.

The mome ministry has not yet commented on the matter. It is expected that the home ministry will give details about this on Monday.

On February 8, 2018, a special court convicted Khaleda and sentenced her to five years' imprisonment in the Zia Orphanage Trust graft case.
