Khaleda not out of the woods: Fakhrul

BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir has said that the party chairperson Khaleda has complexities in her heart and kidney. Though she has been freed from post-Covid, she is still not out of the woods.

He said this in a press briefing at BNP chairperson’s party office in the capital’s Gulshan on Friday (June 11).

Mirza Fakhrul said, “Latest statement of Madam’s medical board is that she has a minimum of parameters since she recovered from the post-covid. There are some fundamental issues that are worrisome. One is that she has acute heart and kidney problems. The medical board is concerned about these two. They think that the hospitals and advanced centers in Bangladesh are not enough for her treatment.”

Khaleda Zia got infected with coronavirus at her Feroza residence in the capital’s Gulshan on April 10. She was admitted to the Evercare Hospital on April 27. Khaleda Zia was shifted to CCU as she had shortness of breath.
