Health ministry’s failure makes Covid-19 situation terrible: JaPa

Jatiya Party Chairman and Deputy Leader of the Opposition Golam Mohammad Quader MP has said that the health ministry's failure has made the Covid-19 situation a terrible one.

The Jatiya Party chairman said this in a statement on Monday.

He said coronavirus infection is increasing day by day in the country. At the same time, the demand for ICU is increasing, but many districts still have no ICUs.

According to media reports, 76% of the country's ICUs are in Dhaka division, of which 73% are in the capital. As there are no ICU facilities in all the districts, patients and their relatives are rushing from one district to another, the statement said.

GM Quader mentioned that the health department said oxygen supply would become a challenge as the number of patients increase.
