Leaders, activists being arrested: Taimur

Independent runner for Narayanganj City Corporation (NCC) election Taimur Alam Khandaker said, the Election Commission and the administration have not given me a level playing field since the beginning of the election. My leaders and activists are being arrested.

The aspirant said this while addressing a press conference at Sadar Thana election camp in Missionpara area on Tuesday morning (January 11).

He said that despite repeated allegations, the leaders of the ruling party are providing provocative statements.

Mentioning the speech of Nanak, he said, I am facing the trap now. Monirul Islam Robi, who was in charge of my election in Siddhirganj, was arrested today.
