BNP spends more than earning

BNP has spent around Taka 1.14 crore more than its earning in 2021 as it spent about Tk 1.98 crore while the party’s earning was Tk 84.12 lakh during the period.

BNP senior joint secretary general Ruhul Kabir Rizvi Ahmed disclosed the information to journalists after submitting its annual financial report to the Election Commission (EC) at Agargaon Nirbachan Bhaban on Thursday.

EC secretary Md Humayun Kabir Khandaker received it.

According to the report, BNP's earnings came from monthly donation of committee members, selling of nomination forms, donations from individuals and institutions and Fixed Deposit Receipt (FDR).

Their expanses included salaries and bonuses of employees, bill for supplements and office expanses.
