Awami League earns three folds more than expenditure

Ruling Awami League has earned three folds more than its expenditure in 2021.

The ruling party earned Tk21,23,46,106 in 2021 while the political party’s expenditure for the year was Tk6,30,19,852.

Awami League’s Treasurer HM Ashiqur Rahman submitted the political party’s income and expenditure statement of last year to Election Commission Secretary Humayun Kabir Khandaker at the Election Commission building in Agargaon area of the capital on Sunday (July 31) morning.

The sale of nomination papers and primary membership forms were the party’s major source of income for the last year, HM Ashiqur Rahman said.
