Attack on leaders: BNP announces protest Sunday

The Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP has announced demonstrations on Sunday (September 18) protesting the attacks on the party leaders and activists in the capital and Cumilla.
Shairul Kabir Khan, a member of the party’s media cell, confirmed the matter on Saturday (September 17) night.
He said, “At least 10 leaders and activists of BNP including Selima Rahman, Moazzem Hossain Alal, Shama Obayed, Tabith Awal and his assistant Hasan were injured in the attack by Awami League, Jubo League and Chhatra League activists in Banani of the capital.”
On the other hand, BNP leader Barkatullah Bulu, who was injured in Cumilla, is being brought to Dhaka for advanced treatment, said Shairul Kabir Khan.
Dhaka Metropolitan (North and South) BNP will organise a protest rally in front of the BNP central office at Naya Paltan in the capital at 3:00 pm on Sunday (September 18). Party Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir will join the demonstration as the chief guest.
