Fakhrul reiterated BNP`s stance to hold its rally in Nayapaltan

BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir said the pre-scheduled meeting of BNP will be held on December 10 anyhow. We will go to Nayapaltan. We have a democratic right to hold a peaceful rally.

The party’s general secretary said this while addressing a press briefing at BNP Chairperson’s political office in the capital’s Gulshan on Thursday (December 8).

He said, police attacked our activists yesterday afternoon without any provocation. Meanwhile, they hurled grenades, rubber bullets, tear gas, leaving several hundred BNP leaders and activists injured.

Fakhrul said, "Shechchasebak Dal leader of Pallabi Thana Maqbul Hossain was killed in police firing and numerous others were shot.”
