The five slain bloggers
Tarikul Islam Bappa: Bloggers are being murdered one after another but the killing cases in this regard, detentions and investigations remain locked up in files.
The law enforces were seen in action just after each killing incidents. But basically no fruitful results were found till now.
The investigative officers, on the other hand, are being shocked after reading out separate controversial articles and writings of the slain bloggers.
Detective Branch (DB) Joint commissioner Monirul Islam of the Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) said that both killers and those who are writing against holy Quran, Hazrat Muhammad (SM) or religions are extremists in the country.
A total of 10 bloggers were killed from February 14, 2013 to August 7, 2015 in Bangladesh.
A Speedy Trial Tribunal in Dhaka had framed charges again against eight accused in the case over murder of blogger Ahmed Rajib Haider after an error appeared.
Except this, no visible progresses were seen in blogger Rajib killing case.
Recently, after the murder, a team of FBI expressed hope to come in Dhaka to assist the investigation over the murder of secular blogger Niloy Neel who was brutally hacked to death by suspected al-Qaeda linked Islamists on August 7.
Earlier, A FBI team visited Bangladesh after the murder of writer-blogger Avijit Roy, a naturalised US citizen, in February.
