Joy’s Facebook page verified

DHAKA, Aug 21: The most popular social networking site Facebook.com has officially verified the fan page of Sajeeb Ahmed Wazed Joy, the son of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.

The page, https://www.facebook.com/sajeeb.a.wazed, on Tuesday night was seen having a ‘blue tick mark’ beside his name which means the page has been verified as genuinely run by the person himself.

Facebook’s Verified Pages are designed for celebrities, high-profile people and businesses with authentic accounts.

There are several pages in Joy’s name on the popular social media site.

“This is the first time Facebook authorities have given official acknowledgement to the page of any Bangladeshi citizen,” Prime Minister’s Special Assistant (Media) Mahbubul Hoque Shakil on his own Facebook wall wrote.
