RAB, Police cordon off Uttara under-construction building as bombs found

Members of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) and Police have cordoned off an under-construction building at Road 15, Sector 10 in the capital’s Uttara where they found some unexploded bombs. A team of the bomb disposal unit has reached there to deactivate the bombs.

DC Kazi Shafiqul Alam of DB (Uttara Zone) told risingbd around 6:30pm on Friday (November 20) that several unexploded bombs were found at an under construction building. Attempts are going to dispose the bombs. Some 4/5 bombs have already have been deactivated. There might be some 30 to 35 bombs, according to primary information. However, it is yet to be ascertained who brought the bombs and for what purpose.

Uttara’s Additional ADC Md Kamruzzaman said, “After being informed from locals, an expert team has been brought along with policemen to seize the bombs in the afternoon.”
