Khaleda’s medical board waiting for permission of govt

The medical board, formed to oversee Khaleda's treatment, is waiting to get the approval from the government. However, till filling the report no approval came from the government.

Professor Dr FM Sidique, personal physician of Khaleda Zia, said, if allowed, the medical board will take the final decision and prepare to take Khaleda Zia abroad. Then, she will be sent to abroad after considering physical condition of Khaleda Zia.

On the other hand, Khaleda Zia's renewed passport is likely to be received by tomorrow said her sister Selima Islam.

She said, after getting permission, Khaleda Zia will be taken to Singapore from Dhaka first. Later, she would be taken to UK or Saudi Arabia from Singapore. Though, the UK is Khaleda Zia’s first choice. Diplomatic communication is underway between the two countries in this regard.

Earlier, Begum Khaleda Zia was admitted to Evercare Hospital last night for some medical tests after she tested positive for Covid-19 for the second time on April 24.
