Action against unregulated IPTV: Info Minister

Information and Broadcasting Minister and Joint General Secretary of Awami League (AL), Dr. Hasan Mahmud said action will be taken against unregulated IPTV soon.

The minister said this while addressing reporters at his residence in the capital on Friday (July 30).

He said that some IP TVs are often involved in spreading rumors. Even, these TVs are involved in serving false information. Whereas, some IPTVs opened office stations like the regular televisions before getting approval. These issues need to bring under a system.

The minister also said that good quality IPTVs will get approval but faulty ones will face action after scrutinizing.
