643 people killed in 586 accidents in November

At least 643 people were killed and 826 injured in 586 road accidents across the country in November, according to Bangladesh Jatri Kalyan Samity.

In a press release issued on Tuesday (December 6, 2022), the non-government organization said 51 were also killed in and injured in 64 accidents in rail lines.

Besides, 15 were killed and 10 people were injured in naval accidents across the country in the last month.

60.59 percent of road accidents took place on local highways, 27.47 percent on national highways, and 4.95 percent on feeder roads, the statement said.
