Bangladesh’s National Cricket Team and High Performance Squad (HP) of BCB are scheduled to visit Sri Lanka on September 23.

The HP team will play three-day long two matches and five ODI during the tour. Beside, three T20 matches would be played. Both, Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) and Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) will take final decision soon in this regard.

Bangladesh team is going to return the field through the Sri Lanka tour in the ongoing coronavirus crisis. A 50-member team will visit Sri Lanka.

BCB board director and head of High Performance unit, Naimur Rahman Durjoy said, 24-member squad for HP team will be finalized. They have a series with the Sri Lankan HP unit. Before that, the main task of the HP players will be to help in the practice of the national team.

Akram Khan, the director of Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) and also its Cricket Operation Committee chairman, said “Playing a three-match test before any tour or series is a great matter. We didn’t play any cricket in last five to six months. It is a matter of concern. Cricketers will face lot of examinations. We hope that our planning will be succeed.”
