HP tour uncertain due to quarantine complications

Uncertainty has arisen over the BCB’s High Performance (HP) unit’s tour of Sri Lanka after the national team.

BCB thinks that HP is not visiting due to quarantine complications. Now the country’s cricket governing body is thinking about the national team’s tour of Sri Lanka. Those concerned will announce the official decision soon.
Both boards had almost finalised all discussions on the two-team tour. The itinerary, preparation plan, safety plan and medical plan were almost final. But Cricket Sri Lanka and Bangladesh Cricket Board could not take a final decision over quarantine system of Sri Lankan government.

The visiting team will have to quarantine for 14 days without practice as directed by the Sri Lankan government. Cricket Sri Lanka and BCB have agreed to a maximum of 7-day quarantine. Due to the strict health rules of the Sri Lankan government, it is doubtful whether the Bangladesh team and the HP team will visit Sri Lanka to the last.
