Shakib hits a different double

Ace all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan became Bangladesh’s second player to reach 5000-run club in T20s while playing for Gemcon Khulna against Gazi Group Chattogram in the ongoing Bangabandhu T20 Cup at the Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium in Mirpur, Dhaka on Saturday (November 28).
Earlier, Tamim Iqbal got this achievement. The left-arm opener bagged 5,864 runs.
With this milestone, Shakib hit a different double in the T20 format. He achieved 5,000 runs and more than 300 wickets in the format as world’s third player. Shakib bagged a total of 355 wickets so far in T20s.
Earlier, Dwayne Bravo and Andre Russell had achieved such double fame. Bravo reached 6,331 runs and 512 wickets while Andre Russell 5,728 runs and 300 wickets in the shorter format.
