Windies vice-captain issues threat to Bangladesh

West Indies have come to play against Bangladesh with many new faces. There are not many familiar faces on the team. Acknowledging the reality, Windies vice-captain Sunil Ambris has issued a threat to Bangladesh.

He said, “‘I think we are a very inexperienced batting team. But we have some talented batsmen who can turn a match any time if they can set themselves,” the West Indies captain told the media on Friday.

The Caribbeans arrived in Dhaka on January 10. The whole team started practice just after maintaining a three-da quarantine. At the end of the second day’s practice, Sunil faced the media on Friday evening. At this time, he talked about the performance of his team.

He also pointed out the path to the new faces how to success. How will success come? Sunil replies, “Stick to what they know. Many of them are new comer to international cricket. Trying not to be worried too much about these. Just play hard and smart cricket.”

Windies vice-captain is currently in a great rhythm in one-day cricket. What can be understood is if you look at the batting average. He scored 447 runs at an average of 44.70. He has already hit a century and two half-centuries.

“My cricket has not changed at all. My tendency is to stay positive. I try to play smart cricket. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn’t. However, it often works against Bangladesh,” Sunil said.

A fight against the Tigers is possible if the Windies can set a target of 270-80 runs in ODI matches. The ODI series will start from January 20. After the second ODI on January 22, the third ODI will be held on January 25. The first two will be in Dhaka while the last one in Chattogram.
