Tigers set 298-run target for West Indies

Bangladesh set a 298-run target for West Indies in the third and final One Day International (ODI) of the three-match series to whitewash the visitors.

Tigers scored 297 runs by losing 6 wickets in 50 overs at Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium, Chattogram on Monday (January 25).

Earlier, Bangladesh beat Windies in the previous two matches in Dhaka and won the series.

In the third and final match, Tamim Iqbal completed his 49th half-century in his ODI career, also the second consecutive fifty of the series. He scored 64 runs off 80 balls with 3 fours and a six.

Besides, Shakib Al Hasan, Mushfiqur Rahim and Mahmudullah hit half-centuries in the match.

Shakib scored 51 runs from 81 balls with 3 fours. Mushfiqur Rahim and Mahmudullah (unbeaten) hit 64 runs each. Mushfiqur Rahim faced 55 balls and smashed 4 fours and 2 sixes.

Mahmudullah batted to 43 balls. He hit 3 fours and 3 sixes.

Najmul Hossain Shanto scored 20 runs from 30 balls. Soumya Sarkar and Mohammad Saifuddin (unbeaten) hit 7 and 5 runs respectively.

For West Indies, Alzarri Joseph and Raymon Reifer shared two wickets. Kyle Mayers also bagged a wicket.
