West Indies lose five wickets

West Indies won the toss and decided to bat first against Bangladesh in the Second Test at the Sher-e- Bangla National Cricket Stadium in Dhaka on Thursday morning.

West Indies: 218/5 (88 ov)

Bangladesh's two pacers - right-arm quick Abu Jayed and the part-timer Soumya Sarkar - were the standout performers in the second session as West Indies lost three wickets for 62 runs after lunch in Dhaka. Having got to lunch at 84 for 1, West Indies lost Kraigg Brathwaite, Shayne Moseley and Kyle Mayers - their hero from Chattogram - to slip to 116 for 4.

All rounder Soumya Sarkar, middle order batsman Mohammad Mithun and pacer Abu Jayed Rahi came in the place of Shakib Al Hasan, Shadman Islam and Mustafizur Rahman.

The visitors stunned Bangladesh in the first Test in Chattogram by chasing down a mammoth 395-run target for a three-wicket victory.
