More than 23 lakh people vaccinated across country

As of Monday (February 22), 23,08,156 people have been vaccinated against coronavirus across the country.
Professor Mizanur Rahman, Director of the Management Information System of the Directorate General of Health Services, disclosed the information in a press release on Monday (February 22).
According to the press release, 2,25,260 people were vaccinated on Monday. So far, out of 23,08,156 people who have been vaccinated in the country, 15,18,615 are men while 8,69,442 women.
According to DGSH, so far 6,58,780 people have been vaccinated in Dhaka division, 1,03,338 in Mymensingh, 5,22,445 in Chittagong, 2,62,932 in Rajshahi and 2,14,385 in Rangpur. 2,74,637 in Khulna, 1,12,168 in Barisal and 1,59,474 in Sylhet.
Mentionable, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina inaugurated the vaccination programme at Kurmitola General Hospital on January 27 through joining a video conference from Gonobhabon. Five people were vaccinated at the inaugural ceremony. Later, on February 7, mass vaccination activities started.
