4th Test: Kohli equals Dhoni`s unwanted record

Aflurry of unwanted records has fallen into the kitty of Virat Kohli after getting out on an 8-ball duck on Day 2 of the 4th Test against England in Ahmedabad.

Virat Kohli has just walked in after the dismissal of Cheteshwar Pujara when Stokes bowled an excellent short delivery which took Kohli by surprise.

The 32-year-old, tempted to play the delivery, edged the ball into the hands of wicketkeeper Ben Foakes.

With that duck, 8th in Kohli's career as India captain, he has equaled the unwanted record of his predecessor MS Dhoni.

The two owners of the unlucky record for the most number of ducks by an India skipper.

Further, this is only for the 2nd time in the stellar career of the dashing batsman that he has registered two ducks in a single Test series. His last pair in a series was also against England. Liam Plunkett and James Anderson sent him packing on zeros in 2014. Moeen Ali and Ben Stokes have done the damage this time.

Also, Ben Stokes has dismissed Virat Kohli 5 times, the most for him against any batsman in Test cricket. The fiery all-rounder has dismissed former Test cricketers Michale Clarke and Dean Elgar 4 times. South Africa Test captain Dean Elgar and Cheteshwar Pujara have also been hunted by Stokes on 4 occasions.

Notably, Ben Stokes and Virat Kohli were involved in a heated conversation on Day 1 of the final Test. Earlier, Virat Kohli had equaled MS Dhoni's record of leading India in most Test matches. Kohli said it has been a pleasure to have led the side in 60 Tests.
