Bangladesh need 170 in 16 overs

If New Zealand’s batting was abandoned, as per DL method, Bangladesh will have to chase 170 in 16 overs in the second T20I match against hosts in Napier on Tuesday.

Rain stopped the play after New Zealand scored 173 runs with loss of five wickets in 17.5 overs.

Bangladesh captain Mahmudullah Riyad won the toss and opted to field first.

There was drizzle at the toss and skipper Mahmudullah Riyad said his side wanted to take advantage of the overcast conditions. They also had DLS in the back of their minds when making the decision.
