Bangladesh team to arrive in Sri Lanka on chartered plane 

Bangladesh-Sri Lanka series is knocking at the door. The Bangladesh team will fly for Sri Lanka on Monday (April 12) to play two-match series. 

The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) will not send its team to Sri Lanka via commercial flight. Instead, they will hire a chartered flight for the tour.

A reliable source of Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) confirmed the matter to risingbd.

The sources said, a total of 41-member consisting of 21 players, coaching staff, support staff and BCB officials will leave for Sri Lanka.

Earlier on Friday, BCB announced a 21-member big squad for the tour. According to the schedule, Bangladesh team is scheduled to play a warmup match. That’s why such big squad was announced. Besides, Sri Lanka will not allow net bowlers to practice in net. So, additional bowers were kept in the squad.

The team will be staying in Negombo in a hotel close to the airport. After completing three-day quarantine, Bangladesh team will start practice session.

Later, The Inter-squad warm-up match will be played between 17-18 April to finalize the squad.

Earlier, Bangladesh announced a 21-member preliminary squad for their two-match Test series against Sri Lanka, beginning 21 April.
