Sri Lankan players, coach test Covid-19 positive

Two players and a coach have tested positive for coronavirus (COVID-19) ahead of the opening Bangladesh-Sri Lanka ODI in Dhaka on Sunday (May 23).
The three members of the Sri Lankan contingent - bowling coach Chaminda Vaas, Isuru Udana and newcomer Shiran Fernando - have tested positive for coronavirus.
According to reports, the Lankan team is now awaiting the results of a second PCR test on Sunday morning as doubts are cast on the three-match series.
The first ODI which is due to begin at 1:00 pm is now unsure to go as per schedule.
Meanwhile, media committee chairman of the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) Jalal Yunus said, “There is no doubt to hold the first ODI match although three members of the Sri Lankan contingent tested positive for coronavirus. The match is scheduled to be held at 1:00pm at Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in Mirpur.”
