Shakib apologies for losing temper in DPL match

Shakib Al Hasan has apologised for losing his temper during the Twenty20 match between Mohammedan Sporting Club Limited and Abahani Limidted of the Bangabandhu Dhaka Premier Division Cricket League in Mirpur’s Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium on Friday (June 11).

Mohammedan skipper made the apology through posting a status on her official facebook page just after winning the match by 31 runs by Duckworth–Lewis method.

Shakib wrote, “Dear fans and followers, I am extremely sorry for losing my temper and ruining the match for everyone and especially those who are watching from home. An experienced player like me should not have reacted that way but sometimes against all odds it happens unfortunately. I apologise to the teams, management, tournament officials and organizing committee for this human error. Hopefully, I won't be repeating this again in the future. Thanks and love you all.”

Earlier, Star all-rounder Shakib al Hasan raged at the umpire as he did not respond to his appeal of LBW against Mushfiqur Rahim. Then Surprisingly, Shakib behaved aggressively, kicking the stumps at the non-strikers’ end, and also shouted towards umpire.

The incident was not finished as, after five deliveries, umpire called off play due to rain interruption.

Shakib came towards the umpire and again shouted at him before picking up the stumps and throwing those away in anger.
