Shakib banned for 3 matches, fined Tk 5 lakh

Mohammedan Sporting Club Limited skipper Shakib Al Hasan has been awarded a suspension for three matches and fined Tk 5 lakh for breaching code of conduct of Dhaka Premier League (DPL).

Cricket Committee of Dhaka Metropolis (CCDM) chairman Kazi Inam Ahmed came up with the disclosure on Saturday (June 12) evening.
Shakib lost his temper during Dhaka Premier League (DPL) match Abahani Limited in Mirpur’s Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium, Mirpur on Friday (June 11).

Mentionable, Shakib first lost his temper when umpire Imran Parvez turned down his lbw decision against Mushfiqur Rahim in the last ball of the fifth over of Abahani's innings, as the Bangladesh all-rounder kicked at the stumps after shouting at Parvez.

In the second incident just five deliveries later, Shakib uprooted the stumps and threw them to the pitch after the umpires called off play due to rain interruption, and also behaved in an unsporting manner with the umpire.
